COFFEE PRODUCTION AND DIVERSIFIED CROPS (2 hours) Introduction to the world of coffee. Coffee plantations and nursery. Organic fetilizer made from coffee byproducts. Wet mill, patios, tumble-dryer, and warehouses. Production of bananas, plantains, coconuts, bamboo and topical fruits. Beekeeping and honey extraction. Solar dryer and sun-dried banana factory. NATURE HIKES (3-5 hours) Panoramic views of the Samalá River with chain of volcanoes. River bank with black sand, steep cliffs and exotic vegetation. Trails though plantations, waterfall, creeks, woods and bamboo forest. Visits in pick-up truck to nearby communities and hanging bridge.
Home-made gourmet meals with local products and international dishes. Lodging in the main house (ten beds) in double and triple rooms. Rustic small house (seven beds) with independent wood-stove kitchen. Space for meetings and celebrations. Internet service.
